Mathematical Philosophy and Evolutionary Processes. Abstract: It is established that the claims of those who adhere to the concept of "sudden appearance" or "special creation" cannot be rejected on logical or scientific grounds by an institution that has occasion to discuss in any manner the origins of life. No mathematics appears in this paper. [Written specially, in 1982, for a member of the U. S. Congress. Contradicting the philosophy of evolutionary development, the examples show how mathematical modeling predicts a non-evolutionary "continuous" formation of biological features that yields the physical sudden appearance of biological entities in mature and functional form.]
